Although other women previously ran for President, she’s the first one to run as the nominee of a major party. (Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman to do so as Vice-President in 1984; it would be another 14 years until Sarah Palin would do so in 2008.)

Born under the determined and often obsessive sign of Scorpio, Hillary Clinton never took her eyes off of the prize.
